The 12 free-form woven compositions offer a more true-to-life view of weaving the fabric of a personal tapestry. They are woven diaries I kept over the period of a year. I developed the grid, flow, binding, and textural weaving patterns—tactile personal strategies for creating order, navigating chaotic situations, healing emotionally and physically, and getting out of a rut.
The fabric of these works is slightly bumpy to show the tug and pull between a woven life and the everyday reality which does not weave.
